Former American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Trainer & Lifeguard Instructor Trainer
Growing up, my life revolved around water and action sports, from competitive swimming and water polo to skateboarding, snowboarding, surfing, and BMX. These high-adrenaline activities were my outlet for fun and challenge, pushing my limits physically and mentally. However, the toll of those physically demanding sports eventually caught up with me. Years of wear and tear left me with injuries that forced me to re-evaluate my approach to fitness. It wasn’t easy, but I have dedicated the last couple of years to learning how to strike a balance—finding ways to stay active without aggravating old injuries. This personal journey inspired me to become a certified personal trainer, so I could help others facing similar challenges. Now, I’m passionate about working with individuals who, like me, have experienced injuries and need to find balance in their workouts. My mission is to guide others on a path to fitness that’s sustainable, injury-conscious, and empowering, so they can feel strong and confident in their bodies.
Like many people, I faced a moment in life where I had to make a choice about who I was and what I was capable of. For me, that turning point came when years of injuries from action sports and the wear and tear of daily life led me to hit rock bottom. I found myself at 367 pounds, feeling defeated and overwhelmed. The enemy in my story wasn’t just the physical pain or the number on the scale. The internal struggle—the doubt, frustration, and self-defeat- whispered, “You’ll never get back to where you were.” I wrestled with procrastination and a sense of failure, letting my setbacks dictate my future. But there came a moment when I realized that this enemy wasn’t unbeatable. I had a choice: either I could let the weight of my injuries and self-doubt keep me down, or I could reclaim control. So, I took small steps to find sustainability in my diet and exercise routine, focusing on balance and consistency instead of extremes. Over time, those small steps turned into a lifestyle. I’ve since lost over 140 pounds, and I’ve discovered not only physical strength but also a deeper understanding of resilience and perseverance. The journey wasn’t easy, but it taught me that the enemy we all face—whether it’s doubt, fear, or failure—can be overcome with patience and persistence. Now, I’m here to help others conquer their own enemies, to show them that no matter how far they’ve fallen, they can rise again and achieve balance in both fitness and life.
I’m passionate about using my life experience to help others gain a deeper understanding of their workouts, ensuring they can exercise safely and effectively. My goal is to guide each person toward success with knowledge and confidence, no matter where they’re starting from.
